How to Roast turkey

Roasting a turkey is easier than it looks! Start by preheating your oven to 165°C (325°F). Clean the turkey and pat it dry with paper towels. Rub the skin with olive oil or melted butter, then season with salt, pepper, and herbs like rosemary or thyme.
Place the turkey on a roasting rack, breast side up. Cover loosely with foil and roast for about 15 minutes per pound. Remove the foil during the last hour so the skin turns golden and crispy.
Use a meat thermometer to check that the thickest part of the turkey reaches 74°C (165°F). Let it rest for 20–30 minutes before carving—this keeps the meat juicy.
